  • In Feb. 2011, EFI acquired Streamline Development, LLC, the provider of PrintStream ERP/MIS software focused on mailing and fulfillment services for the printing industry.
  • Fiery® color controllers are now available for the Ricoh Aficio MP series of multifunction products, the Ricoh Aficio MP C3001/C3501 and MP C4501/C5501 MFPs.
  • EFI and Océ extended their long-term partnership to include a new worldwide referral agreement that allows Océ to refer their customers to EFI for EFI Pace™ and EFI Monarch.
  • The company launched a new version of its Radius packaging MIS/ERP solution targeted at the small-to-medium business segment.
  • EFI hosted the 12th annual Connect users' conference at the Wynn resort in Las Vegas with approximately 1,000 customers in attendance, a record number of partner sponsors, and 150 educational sessions.
  • EFI introduced the EFI VUTEk® GS3250LX UV-curing digital inkjet printer incorporating in "cool cure" LED technology and increased productivity to facilitate faster and more efficient job production.
  • Office workers on-the-go can now print from virtually any mobile device to Xerox Corporation's multifunction printers (MFPs) with EFI's cloud-based solution, PrintMe®.
  • The company launched the latest version of its Fiery® Command WorkStation® print job management and user interface software, with all-new features to improve image quality, color output, usability, and imposition workflows. Version 5.3 can be downloaded at no cost at www.efi.com/cws5.
  • EFI introduced the VUTEk GS3250r, a dedicated roll-fed machine developed to bring the cost savings and flexibility of solvent-based inks to a completely new UV-curable platform.
  • EFI is now working with Canon U.S.A., Inc. to bring mobile printing to the enterprise-print marketplace. Canon's imageRUNNER ADVANCE lineup of color and black & white office systems utilizing Fiery-based imagePASS and ColorPASS controllers now support EFI's direct mobile printing solution.
  • Kyocera Mita Corporation began offering the EFI Fiery Printing System 11/12 for its TASKalfa color multifunctional products (MFPs), available to customers worldwide.
  • In July 2011, EFI acquired Entrac Technologies, Inc., a leading provider of self-service and payment solutions that allow service providers to easily offer access to business machines including printers, copiers, computers/internet access, fax machines, and photo printing kiosks.
  • The company launched the Xerox EX Print Server powered by Fiery for the new Xerox DocuColor® 8080 Digital Press to ensure the most vivid color and best usability for high-volume digital print production customers.
  • On Aug. 2 EFI acquired privately-held Prism Group Holdings. Prism, with headquarters in Australia, is a provider of MIS/ERP software products for the printing and packaging industry. Prism software will become part of EFI's Software Applications portfolio.
  • Heidelberg Canada and EFI entered into a new agreement under which Heidelberg will distribute the VUTEk GS series of superwide format digital printers throughout Canada. 
  • EFI expanded its partnership with Xerox Corporation to provide customers worldwide with the EFI Digital StoreFront Web-to-Print solution. Xerox's is direct sales team and channel partners are now offering the award-winning solution.
  • As it marks the 20-year anniversary of the first Fiery digital print server, the company launched the next-generation Fiery platform, Fiery System 10. The new platform delivers documents faster than ever before, along with the latest system calibration technology to guarantee color consistency at all times, tighter integration with the printer's finishing options, and greater flexibility and control.
  • A long time Pantone partner, EFI has now expanded its built-in color libraries to include PANTONE PLUS Colors, available to current Fiery users. The PANTONE PLUS color libraries can be downloaded here.
  • The company shipped the Fiery E-41A server for the Ricoh Pro C651EX/C751EX/C751 color production system.
  • EFI launched Fiery XF proServer, a high-performance production solution for the complete line-up of EFI VUTEk superwide format UV inkjet printers.
  • The Xerox Color 800/1000 Presses and the Xerox 700i and 770 Digital Color Presses became the first in the market to run on the new Fiery System 10 technology.
  • EFI received its tenth JDF certification from Printing Industries of America, and one of the first for digital printing for EFI Pace.
  • At GRAPH EXPO, EFI received 11 “Must See ‘em” awards, the most awards won by a single company in the Must See ‘em award program’s history.
  • In Sept., EFI launched the Jetrion 4900, a revolutionary UV inkjet digital printing system that combines high-quality digital printing with in-line laser finishing for label converters.
  • Also in Sept., Staples honored EFI with the “2010 Best Category Management – Business Services Award” for the powerful EFI Digital StoreFront web-to-print platform and EFI Fiery technology.
  • EFI is the first company to achieve four Digital Press Certifications from IDEAlliance for Fiery servers driving engines from Canon, Konica Minolta, Ricoh and Xerox.
  • In Nov., EFI launched PrintMe Mobile, a solution that lets business users print directly from Apple, Android and Blackberry tablets and smartphones to any networked printer.
  • In Dec., EFI acquired Germany-based Alphagraph, whose MIS software solutions are used in over 6,000 facilities in 15 countries. Alphagraph is now part of EFI's Software Applications portfolio
