Workstation Software Requirements
Please refer to the tables below to understand the software combinations you may use to run EFI Pace workstations.

Java Requirements
EFI Pace can display reports in many different formats. Due to Java's efficient page loading capabilities, the default EFI Pace report format is Java. Java reports appear in the Interactive Report Viewer. For EFI Pace to display Java reports in the Interactive Report Viewer, you must install the appropriate JVM (Java Virtual Machine) software on your workstation. The JVM software product and version you install depends upon the operating system and browser that you use.

Only one version of a Sun JVM may be installed on an EFI Pace workstation. You must delete all previous Sun JVM versions and install the appropriate Sun JVM. Refer to the EFI Pace Reports Compatibility Requirements for assistance with determining the correct version.

If your workstation software setup does not support running Java reports, you can view your EFI Pace reports in PDF format through Adobe Acrobat Reader Professional v7.0.

Set your system-wide default PDF viewer to Adobe Acrobat Reader v7.0.

Network Requirements
Network Requirements

The external (public) IP address that we will use to access the Appliance and that you used to forward the ports to the Appliance.

Port 22 (SSH) Incoming and Outgoing. Used for single file transfers.

Port 25 (SMTP) Outgoing Only. The server sends emails to EFI Pace for maintenance purposes.

Port 80 (HTTP) Incoming and Outgoing. Allows Appliance access to the Internet for automatic file transfers/and Internet access to the Appliance for EFI Pace Systems maintenance and eService.

High speed Internet connection (DSL, T1, T3) with a static IP address.

Recommendations

Laser printers for checks and reports.

Backup Systems (Tape, RAID, etc).
