EFI-fogra·cert - Certified Proofing

    Overview

    EFI-fogra·cert is a certification that ensures that specialist dealers and consultants can set up standardized systems using EFI Colorproof™ XF to produce fogra·cert compliant proofs, guaranteeing high quality and reliability. If requested, the dealer also can submit a reference proof to acquire the "fogra·cert proof." This well-know certificate shows that the generated proofs comply with the MedienStandard Druck (German Printing Standard).

    The EFI-fogra·cert initiative was developed by EFI, Tecco and fogra, the leading standardization organization in the German-speaking printing industry. The initiative was developed, so dealers, consultants, printing houses, prepress businesses and their customers understand what standardization means and receive all the benefits from it.

    "EFI-fogra·cert" – training and certification

    The intent of this initiative is to educate dealers and consultants install and calibrate a Colorproof XF system that produces fogra•cert compliant proofs. The class also offers insight on the latest standards and trends in the graphics industry. At the end of the two-day course, fogra tests the participants' theoretical and practical knowledge. By receiving the certificate, all parties involved are guaranteed reliable, high-quality proofs every time.

    "fogra·cert proof" – proof printing certificate

    Colorproof XF systems installed by dealers with "EFI-fogra•cert" status produce proofs in accordance with fogra specifications. Reference proofs can be printed from the systems and sent to the fogra to obtain the "fogra•cert proof" certification. The fogra checks whether the proof complies with the MedienStandard Druck (German Printing Standard) and issues the "fogra•cert proof" certificate attesting this quality to the Colorproof XF user and his customers.
